Mission and Vision
We work to help individuals with autism and related disorders realize their maximum potential. We help our clients and their families grow, succeed, and increase their quality of life. We collaborate with family members, teachers, peers, and any person involved with the clients to help them become independent participants in their communities. We make the best effort to connect all the dots between the individual’s environments to increase the success of our treatment program.
Lighthouse Behavioral Solutions was founded on the principles of Cultural Awareness, Sensitivity, Diversity, and Inclusion, and these are the values we always encourage among our staff and clients. We continue to celebrate and support these values and promote a healthy and open workspace and home. Our team has grown, our families have grown, and we continue to focus our mission on reaching excellence on every level.
The Hispanic Community constitutes approximately 40% of the population of Orange County. Many families inside the Hispanic community need ABA providers that of whom are bilingual in both English and Spanish. We at Lighthouse Behavioral Solutions are here to bridge that gap and offer superior services to those in need. We strongly believe communication is key to the success of any treatment program, and for that reason, we have designed a comprehensive plan to help families understand and facilitate applications of ABA principle skillsets. Whenever necessary, Lighthouse Behavioral Solutions will provide instructions in both Spanish and English to individuals involved with our clients, so that proper communication is received. We have created optimal conditions to continually build on relations between Client, Parent/Caregivers, and our team.
What is ABA?
Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is a therapy based on the science of learning and behavior. It is used to increase language and communication skills, improve attention, focus on social skills, memory, academics, or decrease problem behaviors. ABA is considered an evidence-based best practice treatment by the US Surgeon General and by the American Psychological Association. A board-certified behavior analyst (BCBA) provides ABA therapy services. A BCBA is a holder of a master’s degree or Ph.D. in psychology or behavior analysis, passed a national certification exam, has a state license to practice (in some states).
